Valencia CF and MatchWornShirt join forces again for charity auction
Valencia CF and MatchWornShirt are coming together for another season to run charity auctions throughout the 2023/24 season. The 51st edition of the Trofeo Naranja, which will see Valencia CF play Aston Villa on Saturday, August 5th at Mestalla, will provide the first opportunity of the campaign to bid for the shirts worn by players in the match.
The funds raised will go to the INCLIVA (Health Research Institute of the Hospital Clínico de València) Improvement Program, financed by VCF Foundation. It is a research project on personalised physical exercise as a key to combating ageing.
Former Valencia CF players and VCF members participate in this individualised physical activity project, aimed at people over the age of 70, working on reversing frailty and preventing the risk of falls.
The VCF Foundation has been an honourary ambassador of INCLIVA since the 2019/20 season, backing their support for health research. They provide the Improvement Program with the necessary economic, material and human resources so that it does not involve any cost for the participants and INCLIVA has adequate financing. The VCF Foundation headquarters houses the physical exercise program, and participants have exercised on occasion at Mestalla.
Once the match has started, fans from all over the world will be able to bid on their favourite Valencia CF player's shirt HERE and get a real collector's item.
